EVSC approves plans for energy efficiency upgrade at Bosse Field

Local News

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) — The Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation has approved plans for an energy efficiency upgrade at Bosse Field.

Evansville Otters owner Bill Bussing says the facility needs lots of improvements, starting with upgrading what he calls an “antiquated” electrical system.

Bussing would also like to see a new scoreboard, new seating and repairs to a leaking roof.

The money to pay for the improvements would come from a tax levy recently added to property tax bills in Vanderburgh County.

The money from the tax can only be used on historic structures such as Bosse Field or the Old Courthouse.
