EVSC board approves agreement with bus drivers

Local News

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – When students in the Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation (EVSC) head to school next month, someone will be available to stop by and pick them up.

The school board approved a four-year agreement with its contracted bus drivers.

The previous contract expired at the end of last school year.

Some concern surfaced, that without an agreement, some students may not have a way to get to school.

School corporation officials said they did not enter into negotiations until after the school year because the legislature had not approved a budget, so schools didn’t know how much money they would have.
