Extended closure of KY 1414/Johnson School Rd starts Monday

MADISONVILLE, Ky. (WEHT) – An extended closure along KY 1414/Johnson School Road in Ohio County started Monday.

KY 1414/Johnson School Road will be closed at mile point 4.920 to allow construction of a new bridge over Barass Ditch.  This closure along KY 1414/Johnson School Road is between Park Ridge Road and Tipton Lane. 

The closure is about 2 miles east of the Interstate 165/Natcher Expressway Overpass and the KY 1737 intersection.

KY 1414/Johnson School Road is expected to remain closed at this site for approximately 40 days with no marked detour. 

That puts the target reopening date around October 10th.

Approximately 300 vehicles travel this section of KY 1414/Johnson School Road on an average day.

This project is part of the Bridging Kentucky Program which is aimed at replacing or rehabilitating more than 1,000 critical bridges in 6 years.
