EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT)- An update to a story we gave you last Friday, we spoke with a man named Russel King who was impacted by a bill in Indiana that eliminates the need for a prescription from a doctor to get insulin.
At the same another bill in the Kentucky House was voted to pass House Bill 12, would cap out-of-pocket co-pays at $100 per 30 days.
Russel has reached out to Eyewitness News since then to tell us how telling his story has helped him. He emailed one of our reporters telling her this daughter shared the story on social media and she received a call from a lady that no longer had to take insulin.
The women had 36 pens that she gave to Russel to use.
