The FAA approves a plan to place a new 911 dispatch tower in Vanderburgh County.

This will be the third tower in the county.

Dispatch officials say it will be located at Baseline Road just behind the Scott Township Fire Department there and will expand coverage where reception has been spotty.

It’s part of a two-phase, four million dollar project to upgrade and modernize central dispatch.

This project is funded from the Dispatch’s Capital Improvement Fund.
