DAVIESS COUNTY, Ind. (WEHT) – The Daviess County Sheriff’s Office identified the four people killed in an accident at the intersection of Highway 57 and 358 near Odon.
The four killed were identified as 26-year-old Matthew Grimes, 24-year-old Jessica Krohn, 5-year-old Maddalynn Grimes, and 7-year-old Isabella Pfingston.
Matthew Grimes and Krohn are from Evansville.
Maddalynn is Matthew’s daughter from North Charleston, South Carolina.
Isabella is from Boonville.
Rodney Page, 41, was driving a Ford F-150 which collided with the vehicle driven by Matthew Grimes.
Page, from Plainville, was sent to the Daviess Community Hospital with a head injury.
Authorities said Grimes failed to yield the right of way at the intersection and pulled into Page’s path.
Grimes was going southbound and Page was going westbound.
Authorities said alcohol and drugs are not believed to be a factor, but toxicology reports are pending.
The accident is still under investigation.
DAVIESS CO., Ind. (WEHT) – A crash has killed four people including two children .
According to the Daviess County, Indiana Sheriff’s Office, two vehicles collided at the intersection of Highway 57 and 358 near Odon around 6:30 Eastern Thursday.
Deputies said a vehicle headed south failed to yield, colliding with a vehicle headed west. Everyone in the vehicle heading south died in the crash.
Deputies confirm two children and two adults died.
The driver of the westbound vehicle was taken to Daviess County Hospital, with a head injury.
The families have been notified, but the names of the victims have not been released.
The investigation of the accident is continuing.
