HOPKINS COUNTY, Ky. (WEHT) – Health officials in Hopkins County continue working to stop the spread of Hepatitis A in their community.

Health Department Director Denise Beach said 61 cases of Hepatitis A have been reported this year in the county.

Beach said there have been fewer cases this month compared to this past summer.

The virus was a factor in one death earlier this year.

Beach said if anyone is showing any health risk factors, they can get a vaccine at the Health Department office in Madisonville.
