Fifth Third Bank announces $25,000 grant to support United Way

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – Fifth Third Bank is partnering with the United Way in the form of a big donation of time and money.

The bank has announced a $25,000 grant to support United Way’s financial empowerment programs.

As part of United Way’s Day of Caring, employees of the bank stuck around after the announcement to clean up and landscape Mesker Park Zoo on Tuesday.

The money will help the 40% of southwestern Indiana residents who don’t make enough to cover their basic needs.
