Final music director finalist to conduct February concert

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) The fifth and final candidate for music director for the Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra will be conducting the February Classsics concert on February 29.

Roger Kalia is final finalist competing for the position of EPD music director.

Kalia was named Music Director of Symphony New Hampshire in May 2019 and since July 2018, has served as Music Director of California’s Orchestra Santa Monica. Kalia is also Associate Conductor with the Pacific Symphony.

The February Classics concert will be Saturday, February 29 at the Victory Theatre at 7 p.m.

The four other finalists are Scott Seaton, Laura Jackson, Michelle Merrill, and Charles Latshaw.

Announcement of the next music director’s name will be Saturday, April 4.
