Fire investigators say the cause of Wednesday morning’s fire in the 300 block of Adams was due to electrical wiring in the attic area.
Investigators say damage was limited to the attic with water damage on the two floors below the fire.
Evansville fire crews were on the scene of a house fire that broke out just after 7 a.m. Wednesday.
The structure, located in the 300 block of Adams Ave., had fire and smoke coming out of the unfinished attic.
Two men and their dog were inside but they made it out safely.
Crews are currently in the process of overhaul – looking for hidden fires in the walls to extinguish.
An investigator is on the scene to figure out the cause.
