Fire started after person was cooking in Evansville storage unit

Local News

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – Evansville firefighters say someone cooking inside a storage unit started a fire around 4 A.M. Tuesday morning.

The fire took place at Red Dot Storage on Pollack Avenue.

Investigators say the cause appears to be accidental because it looked as if someone was living in the unit and cooking on a grill next to a mattress.
