Firefighters respond to Evansville home two nights in a row

Local News

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – Firefighters responded to a house fire in the 3000 block of Lincoln Avenue Monday night. Crews were just there the night before.

We’re told Sunday night’s fire started in the basement and spread the first floor of the home. Monday night’s fire appears to have started in the attic.

Firefighters tell Eyewitness News the inside of the home is completely destroyed. No one was home at the time of either fire.

The owner of the home appears to have been doing renovations.

Roads were blocked Monday night from Dexter to Vann Ave, but should be back open.

There was no damage to the neighboring homes and no one was hurt.
