Fireworks sales explode ahead of Fourth of July

Local News

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – Americans will spend more than $1 billion on fireworks this year.

People in the Tri-State were stocking up on fireworks Wednesday, ahead of the Fourth of July.

Family packs are a popular seller at Stateline Fireworks.

The bundles feature an assortment of fireworks in one box.

Jackie Heath at Stateline Fireworks said the biggest artillery they carry is the Maxon Core, with a five-inch cannister shell.

Heath said they shoot up over 200 feet in the air.

Fireworks are popular, but they can also cause injuries, so be sure to use them responsibly.
