First reading of smoking ban amendment passed in Henderson

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – Henderson city officials are looking to expand the city’s smoking ordinance. An amendment would expand a ban to city parks.

The Henderson City Board of Commissioners passed it on first reading during Tuesday night’s meeting.

The commission also passed a first reading of a special events ordinance. It would allow permit holders to determine whether a designated smoking area will be included for the event.
