(WEHT)- Several churches in Boonville worked together to establish “community boxes” where non-perishable food items are provided for anyone in need.

Main Street United Methodist Church launched the idea to expand services outside of the church community. Pastor Julie Pimlott said, “For me, it’s not just about helping the neighbors, it’s about living out the faith.”

St. John’s United Church of Christ also has a food pantry at City Lake in Boonville.
