(WEHT)- Los Alfaro’s in Evansville has a challenge that could seriously test even the hungriest taco enthusiasts: a footlong taco eating contest.
The first round of the challenge was held Saturday, with a winning time of 8 minutes, 27 seconds. Organizers say that’s just shy of the all-time record of 6 minutes, 9 seconds.
There are two more qualifying rounds, on Feb. 7 and 8. The top winning times in those rounds will advance to the grand championship on Feb. 16. The winner of the grand championship will receive a belt and bragging rights. Tickets to enter the competition are $20
