Happy Friday and happy first day of Summer! We wake up this morning to some areas of fog across the region as well as showers lingering for the first half of your day. Clouds will begin to decrease though late morning and into the afternoon giving way to some sunshine, but a few showers may linger as high pressure slowly builds in. Winds will be breezy at times out of the northwest, gusts of over 20 mph at times will continue to usher in dry air. High temperatures today will be slightly below average topping off in the low 70s. High pressure looks to clear us out tonight, giving way to mostly clear skies, temperatures will fall into the lower 50s.
Saturday and Sunday are both looking dry as well as sunny with warming temperatures. Saturday high temperatures look to reach into the mid 70s, while on Sunday we will be closer to 80 degrees. Clouds will begin to increase into Sunday afternoon as our next system approaches the Twin Tiers.
Early next week is looking to start off unsettled again, with showers and thunderstorms possible Monday. However, temperatures will remain warm as a warm front passes through. Highs early next week could be in the low to even mid 80s. The trend for drier weather as we head into mid to late next week looks to be holding on, and by Wednesday / Thursday we could see sunshine return once again!
