EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – Formal charges have been filed against two people in connection with the death of Diamond Shepphard-Rankin.

Rankin’s body was found with multiple stab wounds inside a home on Taylor Avenue in Evansville last week.

Fitolay Demesmin faces a murder charge. He’s being held without bond and is scheduled to be back in court on Monday, June 3, 2019.

Kalei Obasa faces assisting a criminal and obstruction of justice charges. She’s being held on a $5,000 cash bond. Obasa is scheduled to be back in court on July 11, 2019.
