Two of the most prominent gangs in Evansville call for a cease fire days after gunfire ripped through a local bar.

A barrage of bullets tore through Mann’s Bar & Grill north on N. Garvin Ave. on Sunday morning. Four people were wounded, but none of the injuries were life-threatening. This is just the most recent instance of gang violence in the city.

On Wednesday night, former Indiana State Representative candidate Henrietta Jenkins told Eyewitness News there is a truce in place between the Wagg Block and Savage Life gangs. Also, a 30 day cease fire will extend to all gangs participating.

Jenkins says there will be a news conference to discuss this truce to stop the violence later this week. Eyewitness News will have more information as soon as it is released.
