PRINCETON, Ind. (WEHT) – A former Princeton High School teacher is accused of attempted child seduction and theft.

According to a probable cause affidavit, 44-year-old Gary Kinswa is accused of sending inappropriate text messages to a 16-year-old.

Police said that while Kinswa’s desk was being cleared out from the school, officials saw receipts for a school prom account that Kinswa oversaw.

Police said the account was overdrafted.

A CPA audited the account and found $1,914.45 missing in total, police said.

The audit found $1,104 of unauthorized cash withdrawals, according to the probable cause affidavit.

The audit also showed gasoline purchases of $55.40, which school officials said are never authorized to anyone not driving a company vehicle. Police said Kinswa was not assigned a company vehicle.

The audit showed $202 in overdraft fees and $616.30 of undocumented purchases, where no receipts or documentation was provided.
