Former restaurant manager accused of stealing over $36,000 from Oakland City diner

GIBSON COUNTY, Ind. (WEHT) – A former Oakland City restaurant manager is accused of stealing over $36,000 from a local diner.

Indiana State Police say between January and August of 2019, Roger Norrick, 54, stole over $36,000 from Mom’s Diner in Oakland City.

ISP began a criminal investigation on August 30th after receiving information from the restaurant owner regarding a significant amount of missing money.

Norrick was the restaurant manager and responsible for calculating daily sales and making nightly deposits.

ISP says the investigation revealed Norrick stole the money.

Norrick was arrested on Friday morning in connection to the theft. He was taken to the Gibson County Jail where he’s being held on bond.
