Former UE student accused of rape acquitted

Local News

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – A former University of Evansville student accused of rape was found not guilty.

In 2016, Trenton McCorkle was indicted by a grand jury on two rape charges.

A jury deliberated for 25 minutes and found him not guilty.

McCorkle was also found not guilty last November in connection to another rape allegation.

The University of Evansville said in a statement that it expelled McCorkle before his arrest for violating the university’s police against sexual misconduct.
