The two were found dead in their Plantation Court home Monday night. But Evansville Police believe they died a few days earlier.
According to police, a fight at the home led to the deadly encounter and detectives believe the victims knew the suspected killer, 46-year-old Ernest Douglas.
On Tuesday morning, Douglas was arrested and charged with two counts of murder.
According to police, Satanna and Ernest were married. Police say a fight in June between Ernest and Meriweather led Ernest to be barred from the Plantation Court property.
Last month, a trespassing call was made alleging Ernest Douglas was at the home.
