GCSO: Intoxicated man arrested after two-vehicle accident

GIBSON COUNTY, Ind. (WEHT) – The Gibson County Sheriff’s Office says an Evansville man was arrested after a two-vehicle accident because he was driving while intoxicated.

On Sunday around 5:30 p.m., Gibson County Central Dispatch received a call about an accident in the area of US 41 and County Road 800 South in Fort Branch.

Authorities say 34-year-old Marcus Osborne was involved in the two-vehicle accident.

We’re told a sergeant on scene smelled marijuana coming from inside Osborne’s vehicle and alcohol coming from Osborne.

Osborne was taken to the Gibson County Jail where he was charged with Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated.

We’re told this was a property damage accident and the occupants of the other vehicle were released from the scene.

Authorities say additional charges may be pending on other individuals in Osborne’s vehicle.
