GIBSON COUNTY, Ind. (WEHT) — An employee at the Toyota plant in Gibson County has tested positive for coronavirus, according to Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indiana (TMMI).
In a video sent to employees, TMMI president Leah Curry said the employee tested positive and is receiving medical care. Employees with close contact have been notified and given next step instructions, according to Curry.
TMMI has been deep cleaned for the past three days, and says there will be increased daily sanitation for the forseeable future.
A small group of process and plant critical employees will continue to work at the plant. Production is scheduled to resume April 6.
