Gibson County ranks 10th on list of deadliest U.S. counties for intersection deaths per 100k people
EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – According to data from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, there’s been a 27% increase in intersection fatalities since 2010.
This data was analyzed to highlight the deadliest areas in the U.S. and Indiana stands out.
- In 2017, IN ranked 12th in intersection fatalities per 1k miles of road.
- With 3.13 intersection deaths per 1k miles of road, Indiana’s fatality rate was well above the U.S. average of 2.45 deaths per 1k miles.
- Gibson County, IN was ranked as the tenth deadliest U.S. county for intersection deaths per 100k people.
