GIBSON COUNTY, Ind. (WEHT) – Gibson county is one step closer to getting a new subdivision.
Construction on the project will begin on White Church Road.
The new development covers 50 acres and will feature more than 30 homes in the $175,000 to $200,000 range.
This is the first time in 20 years that a subdivision has been built north of Haubstadt.
Developers say with more people moving to the area for work, there was a need for more housing options in the community.
“There’s already a lot of excitement. Five to ten people have already come and questioned us about what’s going on so I think it will be very popular.”
Construction for the model home is set to start next week.
