GIBSON COUNTY, Ind. (WEHT) – The Gibson County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Louisville man on Monday, after receiving a report of a suspicious person sleeping on a school bus.
When authorities arrived on scene, the sheriff’s office said 23-year-old Jonathan Shearer was found and placed into custody.
According to the sheriff’s office, an investigation showed that Shearer arrived on school property Saturday and entered a school bus parked on the northwest part of the property.
Authorities said Shearer left school property several times before being discovered by a school employee on Monday morning.
Shearer is charged with theft, criminal trespassing, and criminal mischief.
He remains in custody on a $1300 bond.
