EVANSVILLE, Ind.(WEHT)- A organization who helps people affected by cancer received a donation from a local business Wednesday morning.

D-Patrick Ford gave $2,500 to Gilda’s Club Evansville.

The dealership donated $10,000 from each test drive per month to charities around the area.

Gilda’s Club Evansville provides free services to those going through cancer treatment as well as their friends and family.

A member of D-Patrick Ford staff has benefited from Gilda’s Club.

General Manager, Tim Keith’s mother went to Gilda’s club after she was diagnosed with cancer.

“There’s things people all wanna say that they don’t realize that they can stay where they say it. And you know life is tough but Gilda’s Club made it aware that we went through this journey that was tough for our family and I’ve got a family of about 30 people. We came independently as well as I wanna stay connected to this cause because it has been fabulous.”

The $10 per test drive campaign is ongoing at D-Patrick Ford Lincoln.
