EVANSVILLE, Ind (WEHT) Girl Scout cookies lovers listen up! The cookies are here and being distributed, so make room in your pantry.
The cookie program is touted as the largest girl-led entrepreneurship program in the world.
Each girl becomes the CEO of their own little company, learning financial responsibility.
The money raised stays right here in our community, which girls then use for activities such as summer camps or even world travel.
“I think it’s important because girls love being together,” said Aimee Stachura, CEO of Girl Scouts of Southwest Indiana, “They make troop goals and they just have fun. They are out at cookie booths and they are excited when they get their prizes that they get from the cookie program. They just have a lot of fun together.”
You can visit the Girl Scouts website to see where cookies are being sold or download their new cookie locator app.
By the way, the ‘thanks-a-lot’ cookies will be gone after this year so stock up!
