OPD: Missing Owensboro man found safe

The Owensboro Police Department says Richard Noffsinger was safely located this morning, and is being reunited with family.


OWENSBORO, Ky. (WEHT) — Owensboro Police are looking for help finding a missing man suffering from dementia.

A Golden Alert has been issued for 58-year-old Richard Noffsinger.

Police say he was reported missing from a home in the 900 block of Pennbrooke Avenue just before 8:30 Wednesday night.

Noffsinger weighs about 260 pounds, is about six-foot-two, and he also suffers from diabetes and is in need of his medication.

Police detectives, along with members of the emergency management agency have spent much of Thursday morning searching for Noffsinger, but have not yet located the missing man.
