WASHINGTON, Ind.(WEHT)- Goodwill has had a presence in the Washington community for more than 60 years. This week marks the opening of the first stand-alone Goodwill retail store in the area with a donation door.
The Goodwill store in Washington is operated by Evansville Goodwill Industries, Inc., which provides employment services in 25 counties in the Tri-State area.
The grand opening celebration begins this Friday with a ribbon-cutting at 9:00 a.m. Special guests at the ribbon-cutting will include Mayor David Rhoads and the members of the Daviess County Chamber of Commerce.
Door prizes, including a grand prize drawing for a 50-inch 4K TV, will be available to shoppers during the grand opening.
People who visit the Washington Goodwill are invited to bring a donation to the drive-thru Donation Center, which is attached to the retail store.
Guests who make donations during the grand opening weekend will receive a coupon that is good for a discount in the store.
The store is located at 301 E. Highland Avenue.
