Local News

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – Vanderburgh County Republican Party Chair Wayne Parke informed Eyewitness News on Friday that 109 ballots were found in Evansville’s 2019 municipal election that were not initially counted.

The votes did change the tallies of certain races, but the winners did not change.

Republican Natalie Rascher is now only 19 votes behind Democrat Missy Mosby in the 2nd Ward City Council race.

Republican Steve Melcher is now only 56 votes down in the 3rd Ward City Council race, behind Democrat Zachary Heronemus.

Parke said no one has made a decision yet regarding a possible recount.
