MUHLENBERG COUNTY, Ky (WEHT) – Gov. Andy Beshear joined local officials in Muhlenberg County on Tuesday to survey storm damage.
Beshear met with first responders and volunteers at the Bremen Volunteer Fire Department before starting his tour. State officials say eleven people in Muhlenberg County died as a result of last Friday’s tornado. Governor Beshear said seeing the damage up close is hard, but he’s inspired by how people are starting to recover and how they’re helping others.
Governor Beshear said the tornado damage statewide is valued at hundreds of millions of dollars.
