Gov. Bevin calls special session to address ‘pension crisis’

FRANKFORT, Ky. (WEHT) – Governor Matt Bevin announced on Monday that he will convene the Kentucky General Assembly into a special session starting Friday.

The special session is aimed “to save Kentucky’s quasi-agencies, including regional universities, health departments, domestic violence center, and community health centers from the financial stress caused by the state’s looming public pension crisis.”
