Habitat for Humanity announces ‘The House the Otters Built’


EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – On Tuesday, Habitat for Humanity hosted a press conference with the Evansville Otters to announce “The House the Otters Built” sponsored by Eyewitness News.

This is the 25th anniversary of the Evansville Otters. To celebrate, the team is building a home with Habitat in partnership with Eyewitness News.

The home is being built for future Habitat homeowner Kimiko V. and her children.

Mayor Lloyd Winnecke was at the press conference Tuesday, where the Otters, Eyewitness News, and others all helped raise the first wall on the home.

On Friday, July 12, the Otters will host Habitat Night at Bosse Field.

The game will be a Ballpark Reunion of the 500-Voice-Choir.
