Hancock County School Board approves nickel tax

HANCOCK COUNTY, Ky. (WEHT) – The Hancock County School Board approved a new nickel tax on Wednesday.

Money from the tax will be used to build a new middle school.

A similar tax was approved in 2016, but it was recalled by voters.

The Superintendent of Schools said the tax is now in the petition window.
