Hayden Home for Girls opens on campus of St. Joseph Peace Mission

OWENSBORO, Ky. (WEHT) – A group dedicated to helping children cut the ribbon on a new facility Wednesday thanks to help from an Owensboro athlete.

The Hayden Home for Girls, named after the late Nicky Hayden, will open on the campus of the St. Joseph Peace Mission.

It’s the newest expansion at the facility on Third St. in Owensboro.

The home is slated to serve as a long-term facility for girls between 12 and 18, including young girls who are parenting or pregnant.

An open house is scheduled from 4-6 p.m. Thursday.
