A facility dedicated to helping children is cutting the ribbon on a new expansion thanks to the help of an Owensboro athlete and his family.
The Hayden Home For Girls, named after the late Nicky Hayden, is opening on the campus of the Saint Joseph Peace Mission Wednesday.
It’s the newest expansion at the facility on Third Street in Owensboro.
The home is slated to serve as a long term facility for girls between ages 12 and 18, including young girls who are parenting or pregnant.
The ribbon cutting to open the home is at 12:15 p.m. Wednesday.
An open house is also scheduled for Wednesday, beginning at 4:00 p.m.
