HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – A 17-year-old Henderson High School student is being held at the McCracken County Juvenile Detention Center after bringing a weapon to school on Friday.
Police say the student’s charged with unlawful possession of a weapon on school property.
Officers say a handgun found in the student’s backpack had a magazine in it, but the chamber was empty.
The student didn’t say why he brought the gun to school.
