Henderson Boys & Girls Club to hold grand opening today

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) –The Cliff Hagan Boys & Girls Club is having its grand opening Wednesday at noon at the Community Baptist Church on Pebble Creek Drive in Henderson.

The Henderson Chamber of Commerce will conduct the ribbon cutting, and they’re calling it “Great Futures – Doors Open!”

Cliff Hagan, former NBA Champion and University of Kentucky basketball player, is scheduled to commemorate the grand opening. 

Hagan was the founder of the Boys & Girls Club in Owensboro.

Representatives say they expect to serve over 1,200 kids a year in Henderson County.

Most of those children will attend the after school program from 2:30 to 6:30 weekly.

The monthly cost for families is just $1 a month.

The new Boys & Girls Club will bring up to 20 jobs to Henderson.
