Henderson closes on sale of the former Players Club Golf Course property

The city of Henderson will once again have an 18 hole golf course after the city closed on the sale of property Wednesday.

The sale comes after an agreement was reached during Tuesday's commission meeting.

Henderson Commissioners approved K & J Course Management to rehab, manage and operate the former Players Club Golf Course.

And, there's a new name. It will be called the Bridges Golf Course of Henderson.

The city's project manager, Dylan Ward, says the name is because bridges are symbolic to Henderson.

The biggest step now is rehabilitation.

"This is going to be a great golf course it's going to be playable from your professional level of golfers to your amateur level golfers," Ward says. "The operators are really excited to provide this for all skill of play."

The course will cost $28 to golf 18 holes with a cart during the week and $20 for 9 holes.

Henderson City Commissioners said the course could possibly be ready for play by July 1, 2019.
