Henderson Co. man arrested in connection to theft

HENDERSON COUNTY, Ky. (WEHT) – A Spottsville man has been arrested after deputies say a stolen piece of equipment was found at his home.

Jeremy Wade Schaefer is charged with receiving stolen property over $10,000.

Deputies say they went to a home on Old U.S. 60 in Spottsville to serve a search warrant regarding a stolen John Deere tractor. They say the tractor was stolen off a construction site on June 24th.

A John Deere Backhoe that was attached to the stolen tractor was found at the residence, according to deputies.

Schaefer was arrested and taken to the Henderson County Jail.

This is an ongoing investigation and other arrests are pending.
