Henderson Co. Water District works on leak that could disrupt service to some Cairo customers

HENDERSON, Ky (WEHT) The Henderson County Water District has shared that they’ll begin work on a water leak on Tuesday morning that may result in a water service interruption to some customers.

In an e-mail to Eyewtiness News, Pete Conrad, Superintendent of the Henderson County Water District said, “We’re hoping to not shut this line down, but at this point we’re not 100% sure we can avoid it.”

The work concerns Henderson County Water District customers receiving water in the Cairo area on the following roads:

  • Phillips Lane
  • Cottingham Lane
  • Fruit Lane
  • J Royster Road
  • Cairo-Liles Road (from Hwy. 41A to the address of 7224 Hwy. 41A)
  • Rock-Springs Dixie Road (from J Royster Road to the address of 5805 Rock Springs Dixie Road)
  • Cairo Dixie Road (between Hwy. 41A and J Royster Road)
  • Hwy 41A (from Hwy. 266 to the address of 14228 Hwy. 41A)

Work is expected to be completed by early Tuesday afternoon. 

It is not yet known if a boil order notice will be required.
