Henderson County also hit hard by Saturday’s storms

HENDERSON CO., Ky (WEHT) Henderson County took quite a bit of damage from severe storms on Saturday night.

KYTC officials say the roof was torn off of the old salt dome and ended up on KY-2099.

Officials also say strong winds removed the communications tower from the new facility.

The following roads are closed as of Saturday night:

US 41 Alt closed mm 10-11.

US 41 northbound closed at the KY-IN state line by Ellis Park.

 KY 2099 whole road is closed.

Motorists are strongly encouraged to use caution while driving and stay alert for possible downed trees in the road.
