Henderson County Coroner reports one fatality as a result of N. Green St. accident

Update

Henderson County Coroner Bruce Farmer said there was one fatality as a result of Friday’s three-vehicle accident on N. Green Street.  

The Henderson Police Department identified the victim of a crash on North Green St. Friday
Henderson County Coroner Bruce Farmer said Martha Talley was pronounced dead at Methodist Hospital.

An autopsy will be conducted at the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Madisonville.

Results of the autopsy will take a minimum of six weeks.

Police said Talley’s vehicle struck another driven by Carter Clements.

After striking Clements’ vehicle, Talley’s vehicle cross three lanes of traffic and struct the fron of O’Reilly’s Auto Parts, according to police.

HPD said Talley’s vehicle was partially inside the building. No customers or employees were injured.

Richard Clements was a passenger in the vehicle driven by Carter Clements.

Both were sent to Methodist Hospital.

Stacie Miller was involved in the accident as well and was treated and released with non-life-threatening injuries.

Henderson police are responding to an accident at 5th and N Green.

N Green between 5th and 6th will be closed until further notice.

Motorists can use a detour around this site via the KY 425 Henderson Bypass and US 41.

There were 4 people taken to the hospital.

According to the Henderson Police Department, some utility lines will require repair and the crash has hit a nearby business so this will be an extended blockage.

Wreckers are on their way to the accident.
