Henderson County picked to receive $175,000 grant

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – Henderson County’s efforts to attract new industry are getting a $175,000 shot in the arm.

The state set aside $3 million to help industrial parks around Kentucky take the next step in attracting jobs.

The Henderson site was one of nine picked to receive money.

It’s located just south of the city near Highway 425 and US 41.

The county plans to use the money to extend natural gas lines in the area for potential industrial growth.
