HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – After dozens of employees at a Henderson County meat processing have tested positive for coronavirus it will close for four days for cleaning.

Henderson County officials said a statement was released by Ron Chapman of Tyson Foods on Monday. 74 employees have tested positive for COVID-19 at the Robards facility.

According to Tyson, the facility in Robards will cancel production Thursday though Sunday for “additional cleaning and sanitation efforts”.

The Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Human Services reports dozens of positive cases of coronavirus at another local meat processing plant.

According to CHFS, 124 employees at Perdue Farms in Ohio County have tested positive for the virus.

Last week, we reported that a certain number employees at Tyson in Henderson County had tested positive, but could not confirm how many.
