HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – The Kentucky Transportation cabinet (KYTC) says the inspection of the Twin Bridges is over.
KYTC says out of over 550 welds that were tested, only 51 did not meet the current standards. Officials say the contractor is working to address the issues that were found and that over 60 percent of those bad welds were fixed during the inspection period.
KYTC says that for the time being, the traffic pattern will go back to normal following the removal of the third southbound lane from the northbound bridge. The adjustment of the traffic lanes on the northbound bridge will happen on Monday, November 13.
