HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT)- The Henderson Employee Relief Fund announced Thursday that it will accept new applications for financial assistance for Henderson County residents impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The relief fund says it initially received 650 applications for relief by its first deadline on April 16 but says there have been additional layoffs since then, along with delays in stimulus or unemployment payments.
Applications can found at drive-thru windows at the Henderson Municipal Center and the Field & Main Bank location at 1720 E. Second St. Applications can also be found online on the City of Henderson website and on the Henderson Chamber of Commerce website.
Completed applications may be emailed to Kelsi Dunham at firstname.lastname@example.org and mailed or dropped off at the Henderson Christian Community Outreach at 700 N. Green Street. Applicants must identify their former employer and provide a supervisor’s name and phone number to verify their employment status.
While the relief fund initially set a $500,000 funding goal, approximately $625,000 has been raised so far.
